Pixieland Amusement Park

A fun and exciting family day out is guaranteed with this pixie-sized amusement park. Let the kids pilot Red Baron airplanes, spin around in teacups, and race around on a mini train. See more.

An ideal location for small children, this park is not as overwhelming as the larger theme parks and Moms and Dads can also enjoy some rides!

Located in Willow Pass Park

Located in Willow Pass Park, Pixieland is a small amusement park that’s big on fun. It’s perfect for kids ages three to about nine, and moms and dads can ride on all the rides with them.

From slaying dragons on the Dragon Roller Coaster to spinning around in tea cups, there are plenty of ways to have fun at this Concord amusement park. Other favorites include the antique carousel, Red Baron airplanes, and Mr. Toad-style cars.

If the kids need a break from all the rides, there’s a large playground on the site. Or, for a little indoor activity, they can go to Pump it Up, an indoor bouncy house. Families with older kids looking for a fitness challenge can head to Diablo Rock Gym, an indoor rock-climbing center.

Suitable for All Ages

Pixieland isn’t the smallest amusement park in the world (that distinction would go to Fairyland in Disney’s California Adventure), but it packs a lot of fun into less than an acre in Willow Pass Community Park. This includes six rides, a fully inflated Jungle of Fun with slides and climbing structures, a train depot with a small loop through the park, and bathrooms complete with clown heads.

The pixie-sized park is perfect for toddlers and kids up to age 8, with rides like the spinning teacups, dragon roller coaster, and antique carousel that will please them. It costs nothing to enter and just a little to ride, making it a budget-friendly activity.

After a day of recreational fun, the family can relax and recharge with a tasty bite to eat at the Buttercup Diner, where loyal customers rave about the create-your-own omelets, biscuits and gravy, and cinnamon coffee cake. Then, head to Mount Diablo State Park to explore Rock City, the fascinating geological site that features nature trails and sandstone caves. This unique place is a must-see!

Fun for the Whole Family

Pixieland Amusement Park is a family-friendly park with an array of fun rides for kids. From Red Baron airplanes to Mr. Toad-style cars, the rides are designed with toddlers in mind. Spinning Tea Cups and the Dragon Coaster are popular rides with the little ones. There is also a merry-go-round and a miniature train that runs around the park.

The park is free to enter but ride tickets are needed. Please note that all rides have height and safety requirements which are posted on each ride. Kids who are below the minimum height must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

If the kiddos work up an appetite, enjoy a tasty lunch at Buttercup Diner, a beloved local eatery where customers return time and time again. If you’re looking for something a bit more active, the nearby Mount Diablo State Park is packed with nature trails and natural rock formations that will thrill kids of all ages.

Rides for All Ages

If your kids want to spend an afternoon bouncing around, head over to Pump it Up, a warehouse full of inflatable bouncy houses where kids can jump to their heart’s content. Families with older children who crave a more challenging activity can check out Diablo Rock Gym, where kids and adults can climb on indoor bouldering terrain.

Pixieland has a good selection of rides for toddlers and preschoolers, including the antique carousel, Red Baron airplanes, and the Mr. Toad-style train. Spinning teacups and the Dragon Roller Coaster are also popular with the little ones.

The amusement park was renovated in 1995 and sold five years later to its current owner, who has a good relationship with the city which has led to additional improvements. Some of the rides include spinning teacups and a miniature train that runs around the park, both of which are extremely popular with toddlers and younger children. The park is also a great place to hold birthday parties and hosts fun events throughout the year, too. Check our next area of interest here.
